Alta Via of the Belluno Dolomites (no. 3)
Walk from one refuge to the next surrounded by breathtaking scenery on the different legs of this trail that takes in the entire National Park. Suitable for fit, experienced hikers.
Monti del Sole and Valle del Mis
Cajada Forest (Desedan Valley)
An expansive natural amphitheatre in the heart of the Park created more than 20,000 years ago as a result of a powerful landslide. Footpaths take you through the wilderness.
Val di Zoldo – Family Excursions
Woods, meadows, trails along streams, Nordic walking. Fertaze Lake is ideal for families, who can enjoy an easy walk and the picnic area.
Cortina – The Queen of the Dolomites
Cortina d’Ampezzo is the Queen of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A popular destination in the Alps, it is located in the Dolomiti d’Ampezzo Natural Park.
Val Cimoliana
A side alpine valley in Val Cellina in the Dolomiti Friulane Natural Park.
Santa Croce Lake (Alpago)
This is the largest lake entirely in Veneto, within easy reach of Castellavazzo. It is a real paradise for lovers of water sports: sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, canoeing, paddleboarding. Beaches with amenities and Sbarai Oasis for birdwatching.
Pontesei Lake (Val di Zoldo)
This reservoir surrounded by beautiful mountains is 14-15 km from Antico Borgo. Great for angling and scenic walks.
Coldai Lake (Civetta Group)
This alpine lake lies at 2200 m and has clear waters and spectacular views. Reached by following CAI footpaths, it requires a moderate level of fitness.
Barcis Lake (Valcellina)
Situated 402 metres above sea level. The town of Barcis, an important water sports centre (windsurfing, sailing, motorboating, angling), lies on its north shore.

Museo della Pietra e degli Scalpellini (Museum of Stone and Stonemasons) (Castellavazzo)
Learn about the centuries-old tradition of processing the local stone, the tools used by the stonemasons and unusual geological finds.
Museo Longarone Vajont – Attimi di Storia (Longarone Vajont Museum – Moments of History)
This museum remembers the tragedy of 1963: chronology, testimonials, historical documents.
Portale Vittime del Vajont (Victims of Vajont Entrance) (Fortogna)
The entrance to the cemetery is dedicated to the victims of the tragedy.
Museo Etnografico degli Zattieri del Piave (Ethnographic Museum of the Log Drivers of the Piave) (Codissago)
The museum presents the history of log driving on the Piave, a UNESCO Heritage. Learn more about the techniques, rafts and life along the river.
Archpriest Church of Saints Quirico and Giulitta (Castellavazzo)
Built on the site of the Roman Castellum Laebactium fortress, it dates back to 1165 and has exquisite frescoes, an altarpiece by Egidio Dall’Olio (from the Piazzetta school) and columns in local stone.
Church of Santa Maria Immacolata (Longarone)
This modern building was erected as a memorial to the Vajont disaster. The symbolic structure features intersecting amphitheatres.
Muda-Maè cemetery
A collective work built after the Vajont tragedy and symbol of the community’s remembrance.
Longarone: rebuilt following the Vajont disaster, it is the municipal and cultural centre with museums and events commemorating the tragedy.
Codissago: this ancient village is home to the Log Drivers Museum and keeps the memory of life on the Piave alive.
The Dolomites – A Natural World Heritage Site since 2009, due to the exceptional beauty of its landscape, unique geology and scientific importance.
The Piave Log Drivers – This tradition, declared a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, celebrates log driving, raft building and life in the communities along the river.

Itineraries for every level of expertise, from the Alta Via no. 3 to gentle walks for all the family. The National Park has more than 150 km of signposted trails.
